How Trust influences our behavior regarding new technologies

On 25.04.2017 Vinzent Ellissen was selected as speaker for Year of the X – Germany’s biggest innovation festival. The festival combines the most diverse group of business leaders, Buddhist monks, bestselling authors and Tech founders. All of them combined by entrepreneurial spirit and courage. Vinzent Ellison talked about the blockchain, which he personally refers to as the “internet of value.”

In his workshop Vinzent put the blockchain as a trending topic in the context of “feeling safe” as a core human need. Satisfying this need is an important motivation for “why I personally should care about blockchain”.

Moving on to a mental model on how to think and influence safety, Vinzent discovered security as a core element. The group thought about the threats they saw and possible measures.

After the foundation was set to dive into blockchain – or “the internet of value”.

The group focused more on the applications than the nitty-gritty details of how blockchain works under the hood. Understand what blockchain can do for us will eventually inspire ideas to really change the world – hopefully for the better.

All agreed that these are exiting times – and that we need to dive and in and see what’s in it for us … and along the way save the world.
